10,000 Promises. is a Japanese vocal boy group. They made their debut with the single "One True Love" on February 18, 2004.
Taiki and Yohei, who had been working individually as solo singer-songwriters, were asked by a producer if they would like to create a "boy group with a strong Western flavor" that did not yet exist in Japan. They agreed without hesitation, and the project was launched. Taiki invited his friend Shinya from music school. Shinya was attracted by the idea of a "group where everyone takes the main part," so he auditioned and passed. After that, they met with a number of vocalists, but were unable to decide on a fourth member, so for about two months they worked as a three-piece. After that, they heard a rumor about "someone with a good voice", met him immediately, listened to "First Love", and decided he would become a new member. Thus, Shaw joined the group.
