Aimer (meaning to love or like in French, pronounced as Eh-may [エメ]) is a singer and lyricist. She is one of the most successful female vocalists in Japan since 2010.

She is a frequent guest vocalist for Sawano Hiroyuki (at least 9 collaborations through 2022). From 2011 to 2022, she has had 14 of her 20 singles reach the top 10 Oricon singles charts with two #1s and 3 top 10 singles on the Billboard Download charts. All but 2 of her 6 studio albums have reach the top 10 of the Oricon album charts with the first reaching #11 and the 3rd reaching #18. Four of her compilation albums have reached the top 10 of the Oricon charts. She has participated in at least 20 anime tie-in songs, over a dozen TV drama tie-in songs, and many TV music and other show theme songs.

On December 9, 2022, Billboard announced that her single Zankyo Sanka (OP of the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc) was named the #1 song of the year on the Billboard JAPAN HOT 100 charts. The song had already been streamed over 200 million times by July 2022.

On January 1, 2023, it was announced on her official website that she had married the music creator and producer Tobinai Masahiro.
