aimi is a Japanese indie R&B singer-songwriter based in Tokyo, Japan. Her sound is rooted in 90's and 00's R&B with influences of the contemporary/alternative R&B.

- Growing up listening to soul music and R&B, she picked up her fatherʼs guitar and began to write her own music.
- After many years of exploring different styles, doing live shows and searching for her artistry, she found her own place in contemporary R&B to express her raw emotions and dairy of thoughts.
- Her debut EP Water Me is a bilingual EP for both Japanese and global R&B listeners. All songs are written by herself, and produced by one of the top Japanese R&B producers, Shingo.S.
