Trivia[1][]
- She is 1/4 Italian from her mother's side.
- She was raised entirely by her mother; who was tragically killed in 1999 by Amuro's former brother-in-law. She later got a tattoo to commemorate her mother.
- She was forced to retire from the entertainment industry in 2018 due to a serious vocal cord injury that has plagued her since 2010 (and which was even responsible for forcing her to cancel much of the shows on her future PAST>FUTURE tour that would start that year, causing her generalized anxiety problems).
- Before her debut, she appeared on various children's talent shows. In one of those "Chibikko Karaoke" in 1988, she sang Iwai Yukiko's second single -3℃ and claimed she was her biggest fan. She also took home the grand prize. [2]
- From 1994 to 1997, she was a regular on the kids' TV program "Ponkickies", where she performed alongside Suzuki Lanlan as the original members of the unit Sister Rabbits. Amuro's member color was pink.
