Antic Cafe (アンティック-珈琲店-), nicknamed An Cafe, is a Japanese visual kei band formed in May 2003. They describe their music as "Harajuku Dance Rock".

History[]

The band was formed in May 2003 by Miku, Bou and Kanon. Teruki joined the band later in the same year.

In 2007 Bou left the band, and two new members, takuya and Yuuki were announced.

In 2009, the band announced that they would go on a hiatus after their concert on January 4, 2010, at Nippon Budoukan[1].

In April 2012, they announced that they would resume their activities[2].

In August 2015, the band made their major-label debut with Sennen Dive!!!!!.

On June 22, 2018, they announced an indefinite hiatus and the departure of all members except Miku after their concert "Live Cafe 15th Anniversary Year Grand Finale" at EX Theater Roppongi on January 6, 2019[3].

On June 24, 2022, they had a one-day revival to perform at "OSAKA MUSE 35周年イベント OUR CANVAS" anniversary event. On June 29, 2022, it was announced that the band would restart activities with five members for their 20th anniversary in 2023. They had two concerts called "LIVE CAFE 20th Anniversary『令和で初NYAPPY o(≧∀≦)o』" at Zepp Haneda (Tokyo) on January 5 and 6, 2023.[4]

On January 6, 2023, they announced two concerts called "LIVE CAFE 20th Anniversary NYAPPY SUMMER NIGHT o(≧∀≦)o 「アンカフェ、二十歳の夏〜思い出せよ無邪気な頃〜」" for August 5, 2023, and August 13, 2023.[5]

On August 13, 2023, they announced a new single release for the first time in over 5 years. They also announced that their 20th anniversary final concerts "LIVE CAFE 20th Anniversary Final NYAPPY FOREVERo(≧∀≦)o Thank you all caffekko thank you all staff" would be held on January 5 and 6, 2024 at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA.

On August 3, 2024, they performed at "Hareza no Hi 4th Anniversary SUMMER FESTIVAL 2024".

On September 16, 2024, they performed at MUCC's "LuV Together 2024" event. On the same day they released a new music video for Cherry Saku Yuuki and announced twos spring concerts "LIVE CAFE 21th spring NYAPPY" for April 29 and 30, 2025 at Zepp Haneda (Tokyo).[6]
