Asaki Hana (亜咲花), better known as Asaka is an anisong singer known for her debut single Open your eyes, the opening theme song for the anime Occultic;Nine, and SHINY DAYS, the opening theme song for the anime Laid-Back CampΔ. She goes by Asaki Hana when being credited for lyric works.

On April 4, 2020, it was announced Asaka would take a month hiatus to recover from Vocal Cord Polyp Surgery.[1]

Biography[]

Lived in Michigan (USA) from the age of 3 to 8 where she watched animation via Cartoon Network in English, but was introduced to PUFFY (AmiYumi).[2] When she returned to Japan, she became a big fan of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2006) and Lucky☆Star (2007) animes. She was also a big fan of seiyū Sugita Tomokazu starting in 5th grade and later May'n who she wanted to emulate after seeing her on stage and performing for Macross F (2008).
