Atarashii Gakkou no Leaders (新しい学校のリーダーズ; lit.: New School Leaders) is a dance and vocal performance group formed in July 2015.

The group's concept is, "To stick out with individuality and freedom from an intolerant society where only exemplary guys are valued".

They made their international debut under the label 88rising in January 2021, as ATARASHII GAKKO!.[1]

2015[]

  • In July, the group was formed.
  • They made their stage debut on July 19 at the "BAYSIDE DANCE CAMP〜SUMMER〜" event.

2017[]

  • They made their major debut with their first single Dokubana on June 7.
  • On October 24, they released their second single: Kimiwaina'17.

2018[]

  • They released their first digital single, Koi no Shadanki, on January 23.
  • On February 28, they released their second digital single: Saishujinrui.
  • They released their first album, Maenarawanai, on March 20.
  • They released their third single, Ookami no Uta, on August 29.
  • On December 12, they released their third digital single: Mayoeba Totoshi.

2019[]

  • They released their fourth digital single, Koi Geba, on February 6.
  • On March 6, they released their second album: Wakage ga Itaru.

2020[]

  • On April 30, they released their fifth digital single: OTONABLUE.
  • On May 15, they released their sixth digital single: Que Sera Sera.
  • On May 22, they released their seventh digital single: Koibumi.
  • On November 29, they released the first episode of "Seishun Academy" on 88rising's YouTube Channel, promoting Japan's culture in their unique style.

2021[]

  • On January 6, they uploaded a video commemorating the first Seishun Academy episode reaching 1,000,000 views on YouTube. It is the first video of theirs or featuring them that has reached that milestone.[3]
  • On January 20, they released their eighth digital single and first single internationally under the label 88rising with NAINAINAI.
  • On March 2, they released their ninth digital single FREAKS under the name "ATARASHII GAKKO! & Warren Hue.
  • On September 21, they released their tenth digital single: Pineapple Kryptonite.
  • On November 12, they released their first digital album: SNACKTIME.

2022[]

  • They released their eleventh digital single, Free Your Mind (Spanish Version), on January 25.
  • On April 15, they released their twelfth digital single: WOO! GO!.
  • On May 29, they released their thirteenth digital single: Pineapple Kryptonite Remix.
  • On October 31, they released their fourteenth digital single: HANAKO.
  • On July 26, they collaborated with YouTube skeptic and visual effects artist Captain Disillusion, on his video "Music Video VFX Magic With ATARASHII GAKKO!", where the Captain makes small music videos for the Leaders.

2023[]

  • They released their fifteenth digital single, The Edge, on February 24.
  • On March 16, they released a MV for OTONABLUE, their 5th digital single released back in 2020.
  • They released their sixteenth digital single, Janaindayo, on March 22.
  • On April 7, they appeared on THE FIRST TAKE, performing OTONABLUE.
  • On April 12, they released their second digital EP, Ichiji Kikoku.
  • On June 16, they released their seventeenth digital single, OTONA - From THE FIRST TAKE.
  • On August 16, they released their third digital EP, Maningen and their eighteenth digital single of the same name.
  • On October 20, they released nineteenth digital single, Tokyo Calling
