BXW was a dance and vocal boy group formed with former contestants of Produce 101 Japan in 2020. Their name symbolizes the group's combination of "black x white" = "dark coolness and pure cuteness". Their fandom name is "CROSS" (クロス).

Initially, the group was formed on February 3, 2020 with five members: Azuma Iori, Hayakawa Daisuke, Kitaoka Kento, Gutierez Takeru, and Kitagawa Reito. On April 3, 2020, they announced that Ikumi Hiroto had joined the group. However, on May 16, 2020, it was revealed that Azuma Iori, Ikumi Hiroto, and Kitagawa Reito had left the group and the agency.

On August 31, 2020, it was announced that two new members, Migakida Kanta and Segawa Shintaro, had joined the group.

BXW made their debut on October 22, 2020 with a digital single "TAKAIYUMENI".

On June 3, 2023, it was announced that the group would disband after their last one-man live concert "BXW FINAL LIVE -Dear CROSS-" on July 29, 2023. Kitaoka Kento would be leaving the company due to the expiration of his contract, and Gutierez Takeru, Migakida Kanta and Segawa Shintaro would focus on their individual activities under the company.[1][2]
