Classy Crush is the second studio album and first major label album by @onefive. It was released on April 17, 2024 in a regular CD-only edition and a special CD+Blu-ray edition.[1]
The album name comes from the group's "Japanese Classy Crush" concept.[2] The meaning of "Classy" is along the lines of old, stereotypical, and ordinary or established ways of thinking and doing things. "Crush" means to destroy things like that, because they hold back the members of @onefive, and to advance forward in a new way instead. For example, they want to crush the images and stereotypes that other people project onto them, and crush their own bad habits and negative traits.[3] "Japanese" highlights that the members are from Japan, and that they want to preserve and promote the culture of Japan.[4]
"Like A" was used in a commercial for THE KISS.[5] "Mr.Gorgeous" was used in a commercial for Amazon Prime Video.[6]
"Miraizu" was the theme song for the drama version of If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die and "Chance" was the theme song for the movie version.[7]
@onefive started to have more hip-hop in their songs with this album.[8] The order of the songs was decided by the members.[4]
