SERINA

Hasegawa Serina (長谷川芹奈), now known as SERINA, and formerly known as "Serina" (芹奈), is a female singer from Osaka. She debuted as a member of Little Glee Monster on October 29, 2014, with the single "Houkago High Five" and graduated on July 24, 2022, after several absences due to health issues.

She re-started her musical career as a solo artist in September 2023.

History[]

On December 20, 2020, she was announced to be taking a break due to health problems and to focus on medical treatment, but would continue to participate in recording music for Little Glee Monster.^[1]

On May 31, 2021, she was announced to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder and ADHD, and would continue her treatment with rest under the guidance of her doctor, aiming to resume her activities.^[2]^[3]^[4]

Starting in June 2021, she was scheduled to continue her activities with Little Glee Monster on a nationwide tour. However, on December 28, it was announced that the tour's final performance in January 2022 was cancelled as she had fallen ill and would take a break again.^[5]

On January 31, 2022, she was announced to go on a long-term hiatus in order to give first priority to her physical recovery.^[6]^[7]^[8]

On July 15, 2022, she was announced to graduate from Little Glee Monster on July 24, the final day of Little Glee Monster Live Tour 2022 Journey, after being on a leave of absence. She had expressed her desire to leave the group and take on new musical challenges, and assured that she would keep singing and expressing herself, with the goal to return to the entertainment industry in the future.^[9]^[10]^[11]

On December 31, 2022, she left Watanabe Entertainment.^[12]

On September 7, 2023, her official fanclub was opened.^[13]

She won special award at the 16th ORC200 Vocal Queen Contest in May 2012.
She became the first Utauma Kids Tournament champion in September 2013.
She attended Caless Vocal & Dance School Osaka with fellow Little Glee Monster member, Karen, and both of them already knew each other before the formation of Little Glee Monster.
She is a big dog lover and has two dogs.
Her favorite artists are Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Sakurada Junko.
Her favorite foods are chawanmushi, natto, and noodles.^[14]
Her catchphrases are "Eh" (え) and "〇〇".^[14]
She often used the words "ne" (ね) or "oke" (おけ) on LINE.^[14]
