Kimura Kaela (木村カエラ) is a singer and fashion model. Her entertainment career began when she was scouted for modelling in sixth grade. While doing modelling activities, she began to separately pursue music, starting in 2002 as the vocalist of the band ANIMO under the name katie.
In 2003, she became the MC of the music information program saku saku. The show gave her a debut single, Level42, which was given a limited release of 390 copies. The single sold out in three minutes. This led to it getting a wide major release, and the start of her music career.
On June 1, 2010, she announced her engagement to actor Nagayama Eita. They married on September 1 and their first son was born on October 28. Their second child, a girl, was born on October 7, 2013.

- She is half British on her father's side, and used to speak English as a child, but has since forgotten it.
- She was high school classmates with Golden Bomber member Kiryuin Sho.
