Hayata Kosugi (小杉隼太), better known by his stage name HSU, was the bassist of Suchmos.
In spring of 2019, Suchmos' concert was postponed due to HSU's poor health condition. Later in June, he underwent surgery to remove a tumor. Although the band was on hiatus, HSU had been the support bassist for other artists, and even launched a solo project.
On October 15, 2021, he passed away from undetermined reasons at the age of 32.[1]
