Hata Motohiro (秦基博) is a singer-songwriter managed by Office Augusta agency and signed to the label Universal Music.

Biography
Hata Motohiro was born on October 11, 1980, in Nichinan, Miyazaki as the youngest of three brothers, and moved to Yokohama, Kanagawa in July 1988.[1] When he was 12 years old, his eldest brother got him a guitar for 3,000 yen for the first time, and Motohiro started composing music from junior high school and began making music in earnest from high school.[2][3]
At a last live in high school, Motohiro played in front of an audience for the first time, and by the time he entered university, he began to appear at the live house F.A.D YOKOHAMA in Yokohama with a friend of him.[4] Since then, he has been performing live activities in Shibuya and Shimokitazawa, mainly in Yokohama.
On January 20, 2004, Motohiro released his indie mini-album Orange no Haikei no Akai Seibutsu.
At the end of 2005, the staff of Office Augusta, who happened to celebrate at the live house where Motohiro performed, called him out, and soon he became been a member of the agency in March 2006.[5] He appeared in Augusta Camp 2006 held in July and performed as the opening act.[6] He then made his major debut on November 8, with the single "Synchro". The song set a new record for the number of FM power plays nationwide (43 stations).[7]
On September 26, 2007, Motohiro released his first album Contrast, and from November 24, his national tour Hata Motohiro 1st LIVE TOUR "CONTRAST" was held at seven locations nationwide, mobilizing about 10,000 people.[8] On December 27, a special live BACK TO F.A.D! was held at F.A.D YOKOHAMA.[9]
On March 15, 2008, "Uroko -Director's Cut Ver.-" won the BEST MALE VIDEO on Space Shower TV's SPACE SHOWER Music Video Awards 08.[10]
On March 6, 2009, Motohiro held his first solo performance at Nippon Budokan, and from May 4, his first acoustic tour GREEN MIND 2009 was held at 21 locations nationwide.[11]
On October 16, 2013, Motohiro released his self-selection album Hitomi Mibore.[12]
On April 18, 2014, it was announced that Motohiro would be in charge of the theme song for the movie STAND BY ME Doraemon[13], and on August 6, the theme song "Himawari no Yakusoku" was released as a single.[14] On October 29, his best album evergreen was released. It won the Planning Award on the 56th Japan Record Award.[15]
On July 3, 2015, Motohiro was appointed as the goodwill ambassador for "Aomori Jomon" to spread information on the charm and value of the Jomon archaeological sites in Aomori Prefecture.[16]
From November 1, 2016, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his debut, Motohiro held his first national arena tour Hata Motohiro 10th Anniversary ARENA TOUR "All The Pieces". In the same performance, he announced that he would hold his first stadium live at Yokohama Stadium next spring to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his debut.[17]
On May 4, 2017, Motohiro held his first outdoor solo live HATA MOTOHIRO 10th Anniversary LIVE AT YOKOHAMA STADIUM to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his debut, mobilizing 25,000 people.[18] On the same day, "Girl", which was the theme song of the TV drama Koi ga Heta demo Ikitemasu, was released as his first recut single included in his fourth album Signed POP.[19] On June 14, his first all-time best album All Time Best Hata Motohiro was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his debut.[20]
On August 27, 2020, Motohiro's first unattended live Hata Motohiro Live at F.A.D YOKOHAMA 2020 was held at F.A.D YOKOHAMA.[21]
