hitomi is a pop-rock singer. She began an entertainment career in 1990, and made a singing debut in 1994 after meeting Komuro Tetsuya and beginning to work with him.
She married for the first time in 2002 and divorced in 2007.
She married again to actor Haneda Masayoshi on June 30, 2008. Their daughter was born on December 23, 2008. The couple divorced on December 8, 2011.
In May 2014, she married for a third time. She has three sons from this marriage, born in November 2014, October 2016, and July 2020.
