Ito Tsukasa is a Japanese singer, actress, voice actress, and former idol.

History[]

She began her career as a child actress in the 1970s, and got her start in singing at just 14 years old in 1981. Her first single Shojo Ningyo became a surprise smash hit. However, due to her age, she couldn't perform on many live television shows to promote her music. Despite this setback, she continued to be one of the top selling idols of the early 1980s. She also was one of the first idols to write music for themselves, starting with her fourth album Touch.

She took a short hiatus in 1983, and returned to music in early 1984 under a new record label. However, she didn't receive nearly as much success as in her early years, so she retired from singing in 1986, only continuing her acting career.

However, Ito still performs during live concert and TV events, and also released a single in 2006.
