Every release-related article MUST start with {{Release Infobox}}. Do not create your own separate template.

Information on how each field of the infobox should be filled can be found at the template's documentation.

Introduction[]

The top sentence of a release page should be '''boldfaced''' and should summarize it briefly and concisely. Information such as type of release, artist, and date of release should be included. The {{Releasetime}} template is required for upcoming releases, but also recommended for released ones.

Single Information[]

Use this section to list the catalog numbers for the releases and the credits for the release. This includes, Lyrics, Composition, Arrangement and any other information.

Tracklist[]

This section should include a list of songs inside the album according to the order the songs are played in. List songs using # on separate lines and it will create a numbered list. If a release has multiple editions with different tracklistings, create new sub headings under tracklist with the CD type (i.e. Limited Edition A CD) and make a numbered list using #. The same goes for video releases or DVDs/Blu-rays that are sometimes included with CD releases.

Trivia[]

List any interesting info about this release. Please cite everything using the <ref> tag.

Audio[]

This section uses an embedded Spotify player that allows you to listen to previews of releases available on Spotify. A template is provided and you just need to provide the first part of the unique url for the release in the template. A Spotify small template also exists for releases that only have one track. For more information on these templates see Spotify and Spotify small.

Videos[]

  • This section is for official videos (uploaded by the artist or label). Official videos can include music videos, dance videos, live videos, dance practices, etc. as long as it relates to the release itself and is by an official artist or label channel. Videos from THE FIRST TAKE channel are also allowed.
  • Videos can be added much like images by uploading the video (instructions below) and by using the gallery tags
    <gallery>Video Title|Caption</gallery>

and by replacing the words video file with the video title and caption (optional).

How to Upload Videos[]

Add Video Window

How to Upload a Video

  • Open this page on a separate tab of your browser. You can also reach it by clicking on "Videos" under "Explore" in the dropdown top menu.
  • Click on "ADD A VIDEO". A window will pop up, requesting a video url. Paste your YouTube link on it and click "ADD".
  • Refresh the page. Your video should be the first among the recent videos. Select and copy its title and use it in a gallery as described previously.

References[]

If you have cited with the <ref> tag, then this section is mandatory. In this section, just use {{Reflist}} to list all the references you've cited. This template will already be there by default but if this section is removed, you will need to re-add with the method listed above.

External Links[]

This section is optional. It should include links to discography information on websites or any other additional official information on the release such as an ototoy link or Oricon Profiles.

Categories[]

Categories are added to the bottom of the page, without a header. For more info about categories on the Japanese Music Wiki, refer to the Category Guidelines.

Additional Notes[]

Song Pages[]

Song pages are not allowed. Information on them is listed on the page of the album/single/etc it was released on.

Lyrics[]

Lyrics are not allowed on this wiki. Fact checking and formatting lyrics/translations would require a lot of work and we decided not to add another layer of complexity to our attributions. Lyrics can also make pages cluttery and are not a high requested feature. Consider using lyric-centered plataforms (e.g. Musixmatch), as they do a better job at this than we would ever be able to.
