K is a South Korean singer based in Japan. He made his debut in South Korea in April 2004, and in fall of the same year he went to Japan to make his Japanese market debut. He quickly became successful in Japan and moved his base of activities there.
He completed his two years of mandatory South Korean military service in 2011 and 2012.
On August 24, 2014, he married variety talent Sekine Mari. This makes his father-in-law comedian Sekine Tsutomu.
Their first child, a girl, was born on November 15, 2015. Their second child, also a girl, was born in October 2019.
