On July 21, 2020, it was revealed that he had complained of chest pain and breathlessness in the middle of the night on July 19 and went to the emergency room for treatment. As a result, he was diagnosed with "Brugada Syndrome", a genetic disorder and incurable heart disease. Thus, he would undergo further tests and surgery.[1]
On August 7, 2020, it was announced that he had been released from the hospital on this day. As a result of repeated tests, doctors found that he was in the IIB stage of "Brugada Syndrome" and it was decided not to operate on him at this time but to visit the hospital periodically for observation. He would go through further genetic testing and in a few months, they would need to reconsider whether surgery is necessary or not. Therefore it would still be uncertain if he was able to resume his activities despite being discharged from the hospital.[2]
