KEIKO is a singer from Tokyo and a former member of Kalafina. She debuted as a solo artist in May 2020 under Tristone Entertainment and avex trax.
Biography[]
In 2005, she participated in the original soundtrack Future Soundscape II of the NHK BS2 animation Tsubasa Chronicle to sing "Kaze no Machi e" as KEIKO of FictionJunction, a solo project by Kajiura Yuki.
On December 21, 2005, she formed "Itokubo" with Ito Ayaka and performed for the first time at LIVE INN ROSA in Ikebukuro. The duo released one single, "Into the sky", which was used in the PSP game Beautiful Katamari. Shortly after, the duo disbanded.
In February 2006, she won the Jury's Special Award at the Miss Air Guitar Japan Contest.
In 2007, she was selected as a member of Kalafina, a theme song project produced by Kajiura Yuki for the movie adaptations of the novel Kara no Kyoukai, and made her major debut from SME Records in January of the following year.
On April 1, 2018, she left Space Craft Produce due to the contract expiration.[1] The dissolution of Kalafina was announced later in March 2019.
In April 2019, she resumed her music activities on a freelance basis after a one-year hiatus. She returned to the stage under the name of KEIKO at the "Yuki Kajiura LIVE Vol.14" live tour sponsored by Kajiura Yuki.
In April 2020, she joined Tristone Entertainment, and in May she made her debut as a solo artist from avex trax under the name of KEIKO.
On December 2, 2020, Keiko released her first studio album Lantana.
