Kiss in the Dark is Pink Lady's fourteenth single. The single is Pink Lady's first single to be sung entirely in English, as well as their first single to be released in the United States. The single is also the second Japanese single to reach the Billboard Hot 100 charts since Sakamoto Kyu's Ue wo Muite Arukou. However, his single reached #1 while Pink Lady's reached #37.
The single's A-Side was written and composed by Michael Lloyd, and arranged by John D'Andrea. While the B-Side was written by Mike Brown, composed by Tony Sansone, and arranged by Erich Buling.
