LiSA is a female singer-songwriter from Gifu. She was chosen to sing the role of Yui, the second vocalist of Girls Dead Monster (a.k.a. Galdemo), a band in the TV anime Angel Beats! that aired in the spring of 2010 and sold over 400,000 singles and albums under the Galdemo name, gaining popularity. She made her solo debut in the spring of 2011 with the mini-album "Letters to U".

Since then, she has sung theme songs for many popular works such as Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, The Irregular at Magic High School, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, which became hits not only in Japan but also in the world. The song "Gurenge", released in April 2019, swept numerous daily charts immediately after its release, achieved 38 crowns on the daily charts, and topped the weekly digital single chart for "Last of the Heisei Era and the First of 2021". At the end of the same year, the song made its first appearance on the "70th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen".

Her overwhelmingly passionate performances, singing ability, and live shows centered on positive messages quickly gained popularity, and she has established herself as a live artist not only in the ani-song scene but also at numerous rock festivals.
