Maki Munetaka (牧宗孝), better known under his stage name MIKEY (マイキー), is a member and leader of Tokyo Gegegay.

At around the age of five, at a New Year's gathering of his relatives, he wore his mother's clothes and sang and danced to songs by Nakamori Akina and Nakayama Miho. Later, he started learning Japanese dance in his neighborhood. In an interview, MIKEY revealed that he wanted to be a showgirl, where people would watch him dance, and he would receive rewards.[1]

Since the U.S. Air Force Base Tachikawa used to be located in Tachikawa City where MIKEY grew up, there were hip-hop stores in this area, and he became aware of street dancing in junior high school. Eventually, the music of Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson inspired him to start dancing hip-hop.[1]

Around 2005, MIKEY met MAIKO, and founded the dance crew Tokyo☆Kids. Around this time, he came out as gay. The shows of Tokyo☆Kids became more and more eccentric, and the initial five members were eventually reduced to MAIKO and two others because the others "couldn't keep up". The members who quit the group later formed the dance crew s**t kingz and became active in the street dance scene.[1]

In 2013, MIKEY gathered his best students from the dance studio where he was teaching to form Tokyo Gegegay. The group scored the highest score ever in the dance contest DANCE@HERO and won the title of the 5th generation DANCE@HERO.[2]
