Mamiya Takako is a former Japanese singer.
History[]
She began her career as part of the jazz trio PAO, which she departed from shortly after its formation. She made her solo debut in 1982, and retired after the release of one album.
In the early 2010s her work was rediscovered as a result of the City Pop movement. A re-release of LOVE TRIP was highly requested by fans, but Mamiya was difficult to locate. However, it is said that the former director of Kitty Records was able to contact her, and the album was re-released on CD in 2012 and again on vinyl in 2014. Due to permission issues from Mamiya's family, the re-released album was not on streaming services until the problems were finally resolved in 2023.
