Matsumoto Akiko (松本明子) is a Japanese actress, talento, and a former idol singer.
She got her start in the entertainment industry after winning on Star Tanjou! in 1982.
In April 1984, she was forced to go on extended hiatus following an incident in which she accidentally said a prohibited broadcast word on live television. She returned to mainstream entertainment in 1987 and has been active ever since.
