Matsumoto Yuri (松本友里) was a former Japanese idol singer and actress.

She first appeared on a game show titled All Star Family Battle with her father in 1983. She later debuted as an idol singer in 1984. After she quit singing, she became an actress.
In 2005, she got married to Japanese actor and musician Matsudaira Ken, she then retired and had a son a year later.
Death[]
She died on November 15, 2010, at the age of 42.

Sadly, on November 15, 2010, she committed suicide by hanging herself in her bedroom, due to depression (her mother had died in July of the same year, which may have caused it).
