- On November 28, 2018, he was announced to be stopping his entertainment activities to undergo medical treatment for panic disorder.
- On August 12, 2020, he announced his return to entertainment activities.

- He temporarily quit Sexy Zone in May 2014 because their schedules were too busy for him to attend school in Shizuoka while also travelling to Tokyo. He rejoined in December 2015 because he had already enrolled in a high school in Tokyo.
