Mugino Yui (麦野優衣) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, lyricist, composer and vocal director, currently based in Tokyo, Japan.

Mugino graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2012, where she majored in Contemporary Writing & Production with a scholarship. She made her songwriting debut in 2014, after gaining recognition singing on and writing lyrics for demos of hit songs by popular Japanese artists such as Amuro Namie, JUJU, Mizuki Nana and more.

She has worked with numerous artists such as milet, NiziU, Travis Japan, OH MY GIRL, Harumi, OdAkEi, CHANMINA, YOUYA, IMPACTors, ELAIZA, Girls², iScream, DREAMCATCHER, TEMBA and more.

In recent years, Mugino has come to specialize in vocal production and direction, translation of Japanese lyrics into singable English, and coaching English pronunciation for singers and rappers hoping to reach an international audience; a field of ever increasing demand in the Japanese music industry.
