μ's (ミューズ; pronounced as Muse) was a nine-member voice-actress idol group under the multimedia project, Love Live! School idol project.

They released their first single, "Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE" under the name "Love Live! School idol project" on August 13, 2010.

They held their final performance, "μ's Final LoveLive!〜μ'sic Forever♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪〜" in the spring of 2016 at Tokyo Dome.

They briefly returned with a new single, "A song for You! You? You!!" on March 25, 2020.

History[]

  • The characters were first revealed in the August 2010 issue of "Dengeki G's Magazine".
  • They released their first single "Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE" under the name of "Love Live! School idol project" on August 13, 2010 as a limited release.
    • It was released as a regular edition on August 25.
  • The voice actresses were later revealed in the November 2010 issue of "Dengeki G's Magazine".
  • Their group name "μ's", submitted by 御児勇馬, was decided through reader's vote and was announced in the January 2011 issue of "Dengeki G's Magazine".

  • They held their first concert in February 2012.
  • They performed in the Animelo Summer Live in 2012 and for the recurring years.
  • The group's anime series aired in January 2013, with their released singles progressively reaching higher positions on the Oricon chart.
  • On July 23, 2014, they released their concert Blu-ray μ's Next Love Live! 2014 〜ENDLESS PARADE〜 and peaked first on the Oricon Weekly Blu-ray Ranking (Music Category) for the first time.

  • On March 7, 2015, they received the "Singing Award" from the 9th Seiyuu Award.
  • On May 27, 2015, they released their second compilation album, μ's Best Album Best Live! Collection II.
    • It peaked first on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and Monthly Ranking for the first time.
  • On September 30, 2015, they released their concert Blu-ray, μ's Go Go! Love Live! 2015 〜Dream Sensation!〜 Blu-ray Memorial Box and peaked first on the Oricon Weekly Blu-ray Ranking (All Category) for the first time.
  • On December 31, 2015, they performed at the "66th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen", performing "Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki".
    • They performed as eight members, excluding Nanjo Yoshino who was absent due to her injury.
  • On February 27, 2016, their album, "μ's Best Album Best Live! Collection II" received the "Animation Album of the Year Award" from the 30th Japan Gold Disc Award.
  • From March 31 to April 1, 2016, they held their final concert "μ's Final LoveLive!〜μ'sic Forever♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪〜" at Tokyo Dome.

  • On August 21, 2019, during the "Love Live! Live Broadcast μ's 9th Anniversary Extracurricular Activity ~NozoRinKotoHonoMaki~", they announced the release of an animated single.
  • On March 25, 2020, they released "A song for You! You? You!!". They held a corresponding release event later on December 21.
