Official HIGE DANdism (Official髭男dism) is a Japanese four-piece band from Matsue, Shimane. They were formed in 2012 and made their major debut from Lastrum Music Entertainment in 2015 with the mini album Love to Peace wa Kimi no Naka.
There are two official fan clubs, one is “BROTHERS,” a mobile fan club that pays a monthly membership fee. There is an annual membership fan club "Stand By You". Site opens on January 7, 2021.
History[]
In April 2015, they debuted under Lastrum with the mini album Love to Peace wa Kimi no Naka. In April 2018, they released their first album Escaparade and their major debut single "No Doubt" at the same time. In the following year, their popularity rose with the big hit "Pretender" and their first major album "Traveler" released in October also recorded good sales. At the end of 2019, they participated in the "NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen" for the first time.
In 2020, they switched labels to IRORI Records, a sublabel of Pony Canyon. In July 2022, Fujihara Satoshi was diagnosed with COVID-19[1] . On March 11, 2023, they announced on their official website that vocalist Fujihara Satoshi would go on hiatus for vocal cord polyp surgery[2].
2024[]
- On September 7, it was revealed that they would be performing the opening theme "Same Blue" for the animated series Ao no Hako, which will premiere on TBS on October 3.[3]
Name[]
The band's name reflects their intention to continue to make music with these members for many years to come, even when they are old enough to wear beards, to keep everyone excited.
