Okawari Sisters (おかわりシスターズ) was a J-Pop idol unit that lasted from 1984 to 1985. They were a sub-unit of the First Generation of All Nighters.
They were the primary idol representatives of the First Generation.
Although they only released one album while active under the name "Okawari Sisters", they sang or participated in most of the songs on both of the All Nighters' albums.
History[]
Okawari Sisters formed unofficially in 1983 when Yamazaki Miki and Matsuo Hasumi hosted an All Night Fuji segment on adult movies, gaining popularity alongside Fukaya Tomoko, who was in charge of showcasing trendy gadgets. In 1984, the trio debuted as idols, with their first single reaching the top 25 on the Oricon charts, making them both the representative sub-unit of All Nighters and the faces of All Night Fuji.
However, a network-mandated restructuring in 1985 prompted by obscenity violations dissolved the entire First Generation of All Nighters. As a result the sub-unit ceased singing on March 26, 1985 following their final concert, and disbanded altogether on March 31, 1985 with the dissolution of All Nighters.
Fukaya retired from entertainment after college, Matsuo shifted to an office role in her former record company, and Yamazaki continued as a soloist, later returning as an All Night Fuji host.

Trivia[]
- The origin of their name came from the lead host of All Night Fuji, Kataoka Tsurutaro (片岡鶴太郎). Since Yamazaki and Matsuo were originally hosts of a segment showcasing the latest adult movie releases, Kataoka would often yell "Okawari!" meaning "Another One!" According to Yamazaki Miki, it was actually Kataoka himself who came up with the full name of "Okawari Sisters."
