REIMEI / Susumu Shikanee (黎明 / 進むしかねぇ) is the 18th single by Johnny's WEST. Released by Johnny's Entertainment Record on January 19, 2022, and peaked at #1 on the Oricon single chart.[1]
The release information for this work was released on December 3, 2021. Continued previous work "Dekkai Ai / KIDOAIRAKU", this work is a double A-side single includes "REIMEI", the theme song for the TV Asahi TV drama "Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori" starring Kotaki Nozomu, and "Susumu Shikanee", the theme song for the ABC/TV Asahi program "Anata no Kawari ni Mitekimasu! Real Totsu WEST". In addition, on December 24, it was announced that "Hohoemi Hitotsu Sakasemashou" would be used as the commercial song for Yamazaki's "Lunch Pack".
The official music video (short version) for the powerful rock number "Susumu Shikanee" premiered on YouTube at 9 PM on December 7th. It's a song of encouragement, and it contains the message, "No matter how clumsy or down-to-earth you are, keep moving forward with a smile, no matter what life throws at you".
The title "REIMEI" means "dawn" or "the beginning of something new," and it is Johnny's WEST's first medium ballad single. The official music video for "REIMEI" (YouTube Ver.) premiered on YouTube at 9:00 PM on December 14th, and it is the group's first music video in a long time to include dance scenes, with choreography by Shoji of s**t kingz. The Music Clip -Dance Ver.- for "Reimei" was also released on YouTube on January 15th, 2022.
