RIP SLYME is a hip hop group. They were originally formed in August 1994, and performed as a indie group until they signed with Tanabe Agency in 1999. They made their major debut in 2001 with STEPPER'S DELIGHT.
In April 2017, SU went on hiatus due to rumors of an affair being published in a tabloid. RIP SLYME officially suspended activities on October 30, 2018. SU acknowledged that the hiatus was due to his scandal.
In November 2021, the remaining members of the group confirmed that PES had left during the hiatus. They also released a new original song on their YouTube channel and began preparing to restart activities.
They officially returned as a trio on April 15, 2022.
