Re:ERA is the 6th studio album by King & Prince. Released on October 14, 2024 as digital and the CD of this work will be released on December 11, 2024. The publisher is UNIVERSAL MUSIC.
This work will include 16 songs, including the title song "WOW", "halfmoon", "moooove!!", "ITOSHI IKIRU KOTO" and "MAGIC WORD". All the songs tell a story, and member Takahashi Kaito has drawn a total of 16 characters, the number of which corresponds to the number of songs. The cover photo of the regular edition features the character "ARE-X" (pronounced: Alex), inspired by "WOW".
The title song "WOW" is a collaboration between artist Daichi Miura, music producer UTA and Takahashi, and the choreography is by Miura. The promotional video "WOW" -"Re:ERA beginning" ver.- currently being released is the prologue to the story of the "Re:ERA Project", which is the core of the concept album.
Nagase Ren's solo song "Shimi" features his fellow Kansai members Nishihata Daigo (Naniwa Danshi) and Masakado Yoshinori (Ae! group), who participated at Nagase's request. Nishihata wrote the lyrics and sang the chorus, while Masakado played the guitar and sang the chorus. The title "Shimi" was chosen after the day the three first met on April 3rd, and the song is about the memories and strong friendship between the three from their first meeting to their debuts. The lyrics are sprinkled with the names of both groups.
Takahashi Kaito's solo song "POPSTAR in the KINGDOM" is a collaboration with artist SKY-HI. The two became close friends after appearing together on a certain program, and SKY-HI wrote the lyrics and composed the song at Takahashi's request. The track is based on hip-hop and is filled with Takahashi's rhymes.
