SPiN is a global dance and vocal girl group formed by the winners of the "SSS PROJECT - DANCE & VOCAL GIRLS AUDITION -", an audition held in the Kansai region from March 2022. The final screening of the audition titled "SSS PROJECT- The Final -" was held on August 7, 2022.[1]
The group name "SPiN" is a combination of the initial letters of several words: "Symbol of the times" (時代の象徴), "Pioneering the times" (時代を切り拓く), "Inbound" (世界中の人々が興味を持ち訪れる) = "Spin" (人と人との繋がり/時代の渦).

- The group is made up of experienced dancers who have been taking dance lessons since childhood.[1]
- The audition "SSS PROJECT" (SPECIAL, SUCCESS, STAR), based on the concept of "expanding possibilities through the power of two major cultures, music and fashion", was announced on February 1, 2022.[1]
- The general advisor of the audition, ATSUTOSHI, is also a founding member of EXPG (EXILE PROFESSIONAL GYM), and has been involved in the development of LDH's newcomers. The choreographer was CRE8BOY, the vocal coach was Hirono Yuki and the dance coach was SARA.[1]
- All 14 finalists of the audition passed the final screening and successfully made their debut.[1]
