STY (エス・ティ・ワイ; also stylized as sty), formerly known as lil'showy, is a Japanese music producer, composer, arranger, lyricist and singer-songwriter.

He is part of the music production company Digz, Inc. Group. Some of his most notable work includes songs by Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, Miyano Mamoru, EXILE, COLOR / DEEP and BRIGHT.

Besides his work as a music producer, he often performs as a singer, mainly featuring with indie artists such as K.I. and Nao'ymt. He also works as the producer and vocalist for the drum and bass (D'n'B) unit ASY, which was formed in 2011 by DJ AKi, STY, and YUUKi MC.

From 2016 to 2020, he was the producer of the girl group BananaLemon.

Profile[]

  • Inspired by 1990s R&B and HIPHOP as a student, he started making music.
  • In 2005, he started working as a songwriter and music producer in Shibuya, Tokyo, and soon after, he worked with ARIA and COLOR, and became known in the J-R&B scene as an up-and-coming track maker.
  • After that, he made a name for himself as a music producer in the J-POP world by writing, composing, and producing for EXILE and Koda Kumi.
  • In 2011, he formed the group ASY with DJ AKi and YUUKi MC, and began working as a vocalist and producer for the unit.
  • In 2014, he won the 56th Japan Record Award for Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS's song "R.Y.U.S.E.I." (lyrics, composition, production).
  • In 2015, he began designing and producing goods for the original character BLACKMAR and serves as the creative director.
