Hibi Makiko (日比満喜子) née Saito (斉藤) is a former Japanese idol, a former member of Onyanko Club and its sub-unit Ushirogami Hikaretai.

History[]

Saito began her entertainment career by enrolling in the entertainment oriented Horikoshi High School and co-hosting a local radio show. She entered a magazine contest for Onyanko Club, where, despite losing to Kaise Noriko, she won a chance to audition. She passed on August 10, 1986, and seven months later joined the sub-unit Ushirogami Hikaretai. After Onyanko Club disbanded on September 20, 1987, the sub-unit continued until May 1988.

Saito debuted as a solo artist shortly after the disbandment but saw only moderate success. Her comeback single in 1990 failed, leading her to retire from singing, though she remained a model and talento. She retired from entertainment in 1998 after marrying Hibi Haruo (日比治雄), heir to the dairy production conglomerate Sujata Meiraku Group.
