Sakura Cinderella (さくらシンデレラ) is an idol group formed on October 1, 2014. They are split into regular members, a next generation team called Little Cinderella and a research student team.
They were formerly split into the regular members and the senbatsu team, called Sakura Cinderella tiara. They had branches in Tokyo and Nagoya, which had egg teams. Then they were split into teams: Sakura Cinderella TiARA, Sakura Cinderella pure, Sakura Cinderella cute, and Sakura Cinderella Dream, as well as a research student team called egg.
History[]
Sakura Cinderella debuted in 2014 with their two theaters: one in Akihabara and one in Shinjuku. The original eight 1st generation members debuted as Team A, the tentative group name.
The group's current name was revealed on June 21.
Their first indie single Sakura Cinderella was released on May 27.
Sakura Cinderella opened a theater in Shinjuku, Tokyo and later, another theater in Akihabara, Tokyo on November 19.
On March 25, they announced the formation of three new sister groups: 4U, Ichigo ZERO and 24o'clock.
Their fourth sister group ONE + ONE + ONE debuted on November 25.
Sakura Cinderella released their major debut single White Magic Love on December 26. On the same day 24o'clock also made their major debut.
They held their first overseas performance in Seoul on January 4 and January 5.
On March 17, Futaba Mikina and Minami Rara graduated from Ichigo ZERO and the group's activities were suspended indefinitely.
4U was dissolved on July 13 and the former members debuted in their fifth sister group, Shoujo no Kisetsu.
All ONE + ONE + ONE members graduated on October 5 and the group became inactive.
On November 6, Misaki Kanna, Utsuki Shia and Aizawa Irina withdrew from Shoujo no Kisetsu and the group suspended activities.
Sakura Cinderella's sixth sister group White Lovers debuted on December 22.
On January 23, it was announced that 24o'clock would disband. They were the first sister group to be officially disbanded. It was announced that Sakura Cinderella Dream and the research student teams were being merged into a new team called Little Cinderella, with former 24o'clock member Irie Hona being transferred to Little Cinderella.
On October 25, 2020, White Lovers disbanded, with Yukizaki Miuna and Otoha Rina joining the new group, BLUU, which debuted on the same day.
