Saucy Dog is a three-piece rock band originally formed on November 16, 2013.
On December 26, 2015, the other members of the band left, leaving it as a solo project for Ishihara Shinya. Bassist Akizawa Kazuki joined on April 3, 2016, and their support drummer Seto Yuika became a full-time member in August of the same year.
On December 4, 2016, the band won the MASH FIGT vol.5 Grand Prix contest and were signed to the MASH A&R agency and label. They debuted the next year with Country Road.
In April 2019, they made their major debut under A-Sketch with Ghostbuster.
