Shutou Yoshikatsu (首藤義勝) is the vocalist, bassist, composer and lyricist of KEYTALK.
On July 13, 2024, he announced his departure from the band. He had been on hiatus since June 24, 2024 due to poor health. On his official X (Twitter) account, he explained the reason for his departure, saying, "The three members requested that they could no longer work with me, and I accepted their their wishes." and mentioned his future plans, saying, "I will continue my musical activities as my personal project Senya Chamaru (千也茶丸), as well as providing songs to other artists."[1] According to a following announcement by KEYTALK members and staff, no other members or staff were aware of the post regarding Shutou's departure announcement, and regarding the content of his second post the same day that stated he had been feeling increasingly isolated within the group for the past few years. A separate announcement would be made regarding future band activities after consulting with the relevant parties.[2]
