WANIMA is a punk rock band from Kumamoto, but currently reside in Tokyo, formed in 2010.
The band consist of the childhood friends KENTA and KO-SHIN, with FUJI originally joining in 2012, as a temporary member after WAKITA left the band.
The band is a revival of KENTA's former band HANIMA, that broke up in 2008.

Trivia[]
- The band's name consists of the first 2 letters of each founding member's last name (WAKITA, Nishida Koushin, Matsumoto Kenta).
- All members are from Kumamoto Prefecture (both Kenta and Koushin, are from Amakusa city).
- At their live performances, they have been using standard shouting phrases such as "1CHANCE", "Kaisai Shimasu" (開催します; I'll hold it (holding the performance), and "Chikara" (チカラー; Energy) since their formation.
- One of their best-known songs is "Yattemiyou!" (やってみよう！; Let's do it!).
