WHY@DOLL (ほわいどーる) was an idol duo.
Initially, the unit was formed as a four-member idol band, but most of their careers they were active as a duo consisting of Aoki Chiharu and Uratani Haruna.
Their activities started in 2011. Aoki and Uratani formed a duo in November 2013 and moved their base of activities from Sapporo to Tokyo. They made their major debut in September 2014 and were active until November 2019.
In 2019, Aoki went on hiatus due to health reasons, and in July of the same year, it was announced that the duo would disband. They held their last concert on November 24.
In August 2021, they held a single-day concert to celebrate their group's 10th anniversary.

Trivia[]
- The group name "why doll" is a pun for "white idol".
- The white comes from a part of the place names and the snowy country.
- The at sign between the two words represents the meaning of the place and the cozy relationship with the fans (“at home” in Japanese).
- There are many examples of activity names that use the at sign instead of "a", such as the album name "@lbum".
