YAMENAIDE, PURE (やめないで, PURE) is the 6th single by KinKi Kids. Released on February 24, 1999 on 8cm CD, and peaked at #1 on the Oricon chart. The publisher is Johnny's Entertainment.[1]

The title track was used as the theme song for the drama "Kimi to Ita Mirai no Tame ni -I'll be back-". It was re-released as a 12cm CD (maxi single) on December 26, 2007.

The package includes a notebook-sized divider with the album jacket photo printed on it, an original ringtone sheet for cell phones and PHS ("YAMENAIDE, PURE", "Aisareru Yori Aishitai", "Zenbu Dakishimete", and "Happy Happy Greeting"), and an 8cm photo book.

Since the previous two singles had double A-sides in a row, the Oricon chart sometimes listed both A-sides as "YAMENAIDE, PURE / BABY LOVE", but this has now been corrected. Also, the "," in the title is often written as "" as a punctuation mark, but this work is a single A-side, and the correct title is "YAMENAIDE, PURE".

Trivia[]

  • For a while after the tie-in drama began airing, the ending credits read "Title Undecided". The version played on TV has many differences from the CD, such as the fact that there is no vocal division and the whole song is sung in unison.
  • Different versions are included on "C album" and "KinKi Single Selection". In 2017, "The BEST" was the first time that the single version was included on an album, excluding omnibus albums.
