Yakumaru Hirohide is a Japanese talento, television host, actor, former idol and former member of Shibugakitai.
He joined Johnny & Associates in 1980 as a trainee, and started his career as a back up dancer for Kondo Masahiko. He made his debut as an actor in 1981, and the following year debuted as an idol as an original member of Shibugakitai. The group was highly successful in its early years. In 1988, Yakumaru retired from singing when Shibugakitai disbanded to focus on his acting career and left Johnny's at some point afterwards. As of the 2000s, he is mostly active as a television personality and talento.

- He is married to fellow former idol Ishikawa Hidemi. The couple met during entertainment events as teenagers and secretly began a relationship. They married in 1990 and have five children together. They have three children currently active in the entertainment world: a son, actor Yakumaru Sho (薬丸翔), born 1990, a second son, former professional soccer player Yakumaru Hayato (薬丸隼人), born 1993, and a daughter, talento Yakumaru Remi (薬丸玲美), born 1996. They also have two children, a son and a daughter, who are not active in the entertainment world.
- In 2021 he became the grandfather to a grandson through his eldest son.
- He was the youngest member of Shibugakitai.
