Yoshizawa Akie (吉沢秋絵) is a former Japanese idol, former actress, and former member of Onyanko Club. For a brief time her official stage name was AKIE.

History

She joined Onyanko Club on August 30, 1985 as part of a special audition that would grant her access into Onyanko Club and the lead role in the television drama Sukeban Deka II. However due to directorial differences the role was actually granted to Minamino Yoko and Yoshizawa took on a side role. However she was allowed to remain in Onyanko Club.

She made her solo debut a little more than a month after joining Onyanko Club and became a popular member after that. However, due to time constraints between her schooling, filming Sukeban Deka II, and her Onyanko Club activities, she was more of a "part time" member of Onyanko Club and only occasionally appeared on their daily evening TV show Yuuyake Nyan Nyan.

Due to her poor academic performance due to her tight schedule, Yoshizawa ultimately announced her graduation from Onyanko Club in early summer 1986. She graduated on September 26, 1986 following the final concert of the 1986 summer tour.

After Sukeban Deka II ended in 1987 her singing and acting career took a turn for the worse. She eventually transitioned into television hosting as a talento, and retired from entertainment altogether in 1990.

  • She was not on good terms with Kokusho Sayuri.
