Yumekui NEON

Yumekui NEON (夢喰NEON) is an eight-member Japanese male idol group formed on March 6, 2022.

They made their stage debut on April 6, 2022 @Toyosu PIT.

On August 7, 2024, it was announced that the group would hold an audition titled "Yumekui Keikaku DREAM EATER PROJECT Shinsei Yumekui NEON Audition" (夢喰計画 DREAM EATER PROJECT 新生・夢喰NEONオーディション) to find new members and to determine if the current members could continue in the group. The audition was broadcasted on TOKYO MX starting from October.[1] The audition resulted in all of the existing members being chosen to stay in the group, while two new members, Kyouhei and Shota, were added.[2]

Trivia[]

  • Every original member has had previous idol experience prior to the formation of the group:
  • On April 1, 2023, the group changed their name to "Neko Neko Panic" and started wearing cat ears with their costumes.[4]
    • On April 2, 2023, the group changed their name back to Yumekui NEON because the members said it was embarrassing for a group of grown men to wear cat ears all the time.[5]
